Arline "Cissie" Miller Edwards

Arline Miller was born, along with her twin brother, William Alton, on April 13, 1925, in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, N.C. She married William Ralph Edwards and they had two children, David and Dee Ann, who live in North Carolina. Cissie died of ovarian cancer on Feb. 4, 1993, leaving behind a grieving husband, two children and a twin brother who never felt quite the same about life again.

Young Cissie was a beauty. Here she is in 1948 at Myrtle Beach, S.C., a favorite family vacation spot.

Cissie, lovely and fashionable, as always...

... and, again.

On Nov. 23, 1955, she married Bill Edwards, a man as charming, kind and gracious as herself.

In the summer of 1993, Alverna, Virginia, Norma and Brother visited Cissie's grave at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem, N.C.

In November 2011, I visited Cissie and Bill Edwards' graves with their kids, my first cousins, Dee Ann Edwards and David Edwards. They were great parents, and a great uncle and aunt, too.
